Service 02

Computer
Code Scan

I plug directly into the vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic port and pull every stored, pending, and historical fault code. The check engine light tells you something is wrong — I tell you exactly what, how serious it is, and what it'll cost to fix. I also check for recently erased codes and mileage discrepancies that sellers hope you won't catch.

15–30 min on-site
All systems scanned
Erased codes & mileage check
Severity rating per code
Engine (P-codes)
Misfires, O2 sensors, catalytic converter, fuel system, ignition faults
Transmission (P-codes)
Shift solenoids, torque converter, gear ratio errors, fluid temp sensors
ABS & Brakes (C-codes)
Wheel speed sensors, ABS module faults, brake pressure issues
Airbag / SRS (B-codes)
Deployed or faulty airbags, seatbelt pretensioners, crash sensor faults
Body & Comfort (B-codes)
Power windows, door locks, lighting modules, HVAC control faults
Network / Bus (U-codes)
Module communication failures, CAN bus errors, lost communication codes
Recently Erased Codes
I check readiness monitors to detect codes that were cleared shortly before the sale — a common seller trick to hide known problems
Mileage Discrepancies
I cross-reference odometer data stored in the vehicle's modules against the displayed mileage to flag potential rollback or tampering

Carfax
Report

I pull the full Carfax vehicle history report and walk you through what it actually means. Most buyers skim it — I read it with 40 years of context. I know what to look for, what to flag, and what sellers hope you'll overlook.

Full report included
Expert interpretation
Red flags flagged clearly
Accident & Damage History
See every reported collision, airbag deployment, and structural damage event on record.
Title Brands
Salvage, flood, lemon law buyback, rebuilt — title brands that can tank resale value and signal serious past damage.
Ownership History
How many owners, how long each kept it, and whether it was a personal, fleet, rental, or commercial vehicle.
Odometer Readings Over Time
A timeline of recorded mileage at each service visit — cross-referenced against what the dash shows today.
Open Recalls
Any unresolved manufacturer safety recalls that the current owner hasn't had addressed.
Service & Maintenance Records
Oil changes, inspections, and repairs reported to Carfax — a window into how the car was cared for.
Service 04

Service Record
Review

Service records tell the story of how a car was actually lived in. I sit down with you and go through the paperwork — receipts, dealer records, inspection stickers — and translate what it means for the car's long-term reliability and value.

Reviewed with you, in person
Plain-language summary
Cross-checked with Carfax
Maintenance Consistency
Were oil changes, fluid services, and inspections done on schedule — or skipped for years at a time?
Repair Quality & Parts Used
I look at who did the work, what parts were used, and whether repairs were done right or just patched.
Recurring Issues
The same problem repaired three times is a pattern. I spot repeat visits that signal an unresolved underlying issue.
Gaps in the Record
Missing years or mileage jumps with no service history can indicate neglect, a different owner, or hidden use.
Dealer vs. Independent Service
I help you understand what the service history says about how the car was treated and by whom.
Side-by-Side with Carfax
I review service records alongside the Carfax report to cross-check dates, mileage, and reported events.

Mileage
Verification

Odometer fraud costs used car buyers billions every year. I go beyond the dashboard — cross-referencing module data, Carfax history, and service records to confirm the mileage is real. If the numbers don't add up, I'll find it.

Module-level verification
Rollback & tampering detection
Documented in your report
Odometer Display vs. Module Data
I compare the mileage shown on the dash against the mileage stored in the vehicle's ECU and other onboard modules — discrepancies are a major red flag.
Rollback Detection
Odometer fraud is more common than most buyers realize. I check for signs of tampering, rollback, or inconsistencies that indicate the true mileage has been altered.
Carfax Mileage Timeline
I cross-reference the odometer reading against every mileage entry in the Carfax history — service visits, inspections, and title transfers — to build a complete timeline.
Service Record Cross-Check
Maintenance receipts and dealer records often include mileage stamps. I compare those against the current reading to confirm the numbers add up.
Module Consistency Check
Modern vehicles store mileage data in multiple control modules. I check for inconsistencies between modules that can reveal tampering even when the dash looks clean.
Written Finding in Report
Mileage verification results are documented clearly in your inspection report — with a plain-language explanation of what I found and what it means for the vehicle's value.

Find A Car That
Meets Your Specs

Don't have a specific car in mind yet? Tell me what you're looking for and I'll do the hunting. I search the market, vet the candidates, and only bring you the ones worth your time — then inspect the finalists before you commit to anything.

Market-wide search
No conflict of interest
Full inspection on finalists
You Tell Me What You Want
Share your must-haves — year range, make, model, mileage cap, budget, features. I build a clear target profile so we're not wasting time on the wrong cars.
I Search the Market For You
I scan dealer listings, private sellers, and online marketplaces to find vehicles that match your specifications — filtering out overpriced, high-mileage, or red-flag listings before you ever see them.
I Vet Each Candidate
Before I bring a car to your attention, I do a preliminary review: price vs. market value, mileage, accident history flags, and seller credibility. You only hear about the ones worth your time.
I Go Inspect the Best Options
Once we narrow it down, I go to the car and run the full inspection — condition check, code scan, Carfax review, mileage verification. You get the complete picture on every finalist.
You Make the Call
I give you the data, the findings, and my honest recommendation. You decide. No pressure, no commission, no conflict of interest — I work for you, not the seller.
Saves You Time & Money
Most buyers spend weeks visiting cars that don't pan out. I do the legwork upfront so you only show up when there's a real contender — and you negotiate from a position of knowledge.
Why IGoLook

The Inspection That
Pays For Itself.

Avoid Hidden Problems

Sellers clear codes before listing. I catch pending codes, erased history, and patterns that reveal what they're hiding.

Negotiate With Data

A written report with findings gives you hard leverage to negotiate the price down — or walk away with confidence.

I Come To You

No towing, no logistics. I travel to wherever the car is parked. You stay in control of the deal.

Report Within 24 Hours

Detailed digital report with photos delivered fast — so you don't lose the deal waiting.
